ASTEL Next Generation (Next-Gen) Scholarships
ASTEL scholarships are established to promote excellence in education and leadership within the New Zealand African community.

The ASTEL Next-Gen scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students from the New Zealand African community to recognize academic achievement and active participation in the community.

Value: Up to $2,000
 
Tenure: 1 year
 
Eligibility
  • Domestic African students who are citizens or permanent residents in New Zealand
  • Enrolled or have gained admission to undergraduate study at a NZ tertiary institution
  • Have active participation in community, cultural and other activities
How to apply
If you are eligible and wants to apply
  • Send a written application (no more than 2 A4 pages) outlining:
    • how you meet the eligibility criteria stated above
    • what difference the ASTEL Next-Gen scholarship will make to your academic pursuit
  • Provide evidence to support and include a contact details for a referee
